How to Order Printing Services at Samfine

If you’re considering printing with Samfine, you might have some questions about the process. To make it easier for you, we’ve compiled answers to frequently asked questions about artwork preparation, ordering steps, paper selection, binding options, and more. Our goal is to ensure a fast, smooth, and high-quality printing experience in China.

What Are the Steps to Place Bulk order?

  1. Send an inquiry via email with your printing requirements.

  2. Our sales team will provide a quote within 1–2 hours on business days.

  3. Confirm the price & artwork, then sign the contract.

  4. We will create a free digital sample and send it via DHL for your approval.

  5. Once you approve the sample,you can pay deposit for  mass production. Please note that no changes can be made after printing begins. Any modifications will require additional costs.

  6. After production is complete, we will provide clear photos and videos for your final confirmation. Once approved, you will pay the remaining balance.

  7. Your order will be shipped via sea or air, depending on your preference.

  8. Receive your books and complete the transaction!

We ensure safe, fast, and high-quality book printing. If any issues arise due to our mistake, we promise a free reprint or refund. If errors are caused on your end, we can reprint at an additional cost.


What Artwork Formats Do We Need?

To achieve the best printing results, please follow these artwork guidelines. Our sales team is happy to assist and usually responds within 1–2 hours on business days.

Preferred format: PDF
Image resolution: Minimum 300 DPI for clear printing
Color mode: CMYK (not RGB, as colors will automatically convert)
Black text: Use 100% black (K) instead of CMYK black for cost efficiency
Bleed area: At least 0.12 inches (3mm) on all sides
Fonts: Convert all text to outlines to prevent font issues

Once we receive your artwork, our design team will carefully review it to ensure optimal print quality. You can send files via WeTransfer or Dropbox. If minor adjustments are needed, our designers will fix them for free to ensure a perfect final print.

 

Will  we offer free sample before mass printing?

 

Yes,here are the available options:

  1. If your artwork is not finalized yet: We can send 1-2 sample books that are similar to your project for reference. These samples are free.

  2. If your artwork is finalized: we will create a free digital sample and ship it via DHL for your approval. Once you approve the sample, we will proceed with the mass printing.

Why is the quality of the digital sample different from mass production?

We offer different types of samples, including PDF proofs, digital sample books, and offset printing samples. Here's a breakdown of the differences:

  • Digital samples are produced using digital printing machines. The color and binding may not exactly match the final mass-printed books(around 80% effect as mass order). However, we will send other offset printed books for you to compare the printing and binding quality. If the digital sample's color is acceptable, we will replicate that color in the mass production.

  • Offset samples are made on large-scale offset printing machines (like Heidelberg), which provides a final product almost identical to the mass-produced books.

How do we handle shipping, and how long will it take?

We offer two shipping methods for delivering your books from China to your destination: sea freight and air freight.

  1. Sea Freight: This is a cost-effective choice for bulk orders but takes longer. The shipping times for sea freight are as follows:

    • Asia: 1 to 2 weeks

    • South America: 5 to 7 weeks

    • US/Canada: 3 to 6 weeks, depending on whether it’s the West Coast (LA, Vancouver) or East Coast (NYC, Toronto)

    • Australia: 2 to 3 weeks

    • Africa: 4 to 8 weeks

    • UK/Europe: 4 to 6 weeks

  2. Air Freight/Express: If you need your books urgently, we can ship by air via services like DHL, FEDEX, or UPS, which takes about 5 to 7 days for delivery. The shipping cost depends on the weight of your order, and our sales team will provide you with an accurate quote.

What is our packaging method?

We prioritize the quality of our packaging to ensure that your books arrive safely and intact. While the books themselves are produced to the highest standards, we also recognize the importance of robust packaging to avoid damage during shipping. We aim to deliver your books in perfect condition and on time, so you can rate our service highly and reorder with confidence. Every step of the packaging process is carefully controlled to meet these goals.

How long does production take?

For softcover books, production generally takes about 12 days,hardcover books require around 15 days. The exact time depends on your order size, book specifications, and finishing options.

If you have a tight deadline, let us know when your artwork will be ready and your expected delivery date. We will check with our production team and logistics partners to see if we can meet your schedule. If we accept your order, we guarantee on-time delivery and will adjust our production speed if necessary—at no extra cost.

For large orders with strict deadlines, we recommend splitting the shipment—sending a small batch by air for urgent needs while shipping the rest by sea to optimize cost and efficiency.

 

What are the payment terms?

New customers we require a 50% deposit before production, with the remaining balance due before shipment via bank transfer.

For orders under $2,000, we recommend a one-time full payment to minimize bank transfer fees.

Sample payments under $200, we also accept PayPal for convenience.

Once we confirm your order, our sales team will provide a Proforma Invoice (PI) detailing your book specifications and payment instructions. After receiving your deposit, we will produce a free digital sample (shipped via DHL at no cost) for your approval before moving forward with mass production.



  Can I call the customer service hotline/contact QQ customer service to place an order?

  What is the difference between the number of styles and quantity?

1) Quantity refers to the number of copies required for printing a certain product;


2) The number of styles refers to the need to print different styles of content for a certain product;


For example, if you need to print business cards for 5 people and each person prints 2 boxes, the quantity is 2 (boxes) and the number of styles is 5.



  How to upload printing files?

1. After submitting the order and completing the payment, you can upload the printed file according to the prompts< br/>

2、 Orders that have already been paid can also be placed on the platform; Personal Center - In My Orders; Find the corresponding order and click the upload file button

3、 You can also transfer the printed files to my personal cloud drive before placing an order, and then associate the documents in the cloud drive according to the prompts after placing the order and making payment   What format is required for printing documents?

Currently, the supported file formats for printing are ai, cdr, psd, pdf, and jpg. If uploading jpg images, please ensure the resolution is 300~350DPI and the color mode is CMYK. If you need to upload multiple files, please compress the above files into rar/zip format before uploading.


  How to place an order if multiple products need to be printed at once?

If you are printing the same product (same paper, quantity, and process) but with different printing information, please select the corresponding number of styles and upload the files in a compressed package.

If you need to print different products, please select each product separately and add them to the shopping cart. After submitting the order, pay for all of them together.


  How to place an order for a product with a separate quotation?

For printing products that are not displayed online, you can consult our customer service to check if production is possible and confirm the quotation. If you need to place an order, please send the files to our customer service to place the order on your behalf. Currently, online ordering for non-standard products is not supported. We will notify you immediately once this feature is added. Thank you for your understanding, we will do our best to serve you!

  What should I do if I upload the wrong printing file/ Can I still modify the printed file after uploading it?

Please call customer service at 075527767078 as soon as possible to check if the order has started production. If it has not started, you can send the new file to the customer. If production has already started, the file cannot be changed, and you will need to place a new order. Therefore, to minimize your loss, please carefully check the file information before uploading.

  How can I view my order?

After logging into your personal center with your phone number, click the "My Orders" button to enter the "My Orders" page and view basic order information. On the "My Orders" page, by clicking "View Details," you can see detailed information for each order.


  What delivery methods does the website support?

The system supports two delivery methods: courier and self-pickup.

1. Courier is free shipping by default;

2. For self-pickup, you can pick up your order at Starshine Printing Company.

  How to modify the shipping address?

You can add/modify the shipping address on the Personal Center - Shipping Address page;

If you need to change the shipping address after submitting an order, please contact our customer service promptly to record and update it.


  Why is the customer service phone always unreachable

We apologize for the inconvenience, but due to an increase in customer transactions, our phone lines are sometimes busy. We will address this issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, we suggest that you avoid peak hours when calling customer service, or contact us via customer service QQ.
